## Description | Job Title: | Catering Server | | --- | --- | | Department: | Catering | | Reports To: | Catering Manager | | Status: | Seasonal | | Age: | 14 years or older | | **SUMMARY** | | --- | The primary purpose of a Catering Server is to assist families and companies hosting catered picnics in the Knoebels pavilion area. This is a seasonal position, reporting to the Catering Manager. Park’s operational summer hours are typically Sunday through Tuesday 12pm to 8pm and Wednesday through Saturday 12pm to 9pm. During the parks season, evening and weekend hours are required. | **RESPONSIBILITIES** | | --- | - Assist with directing guests to the proper location for their group event - Setup pavilions for catered group events - Prepare food as ordered by their group or company leader - Serve designated food items - Follow all food safety guidelines - Cook on griddles as needed | **KEY COMPETENCIES** | | --- | - Candidate should possess strong communication skills, high degree of integrity, positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to solve problems - Candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships with guests, provide a high level of guest service, and be an effective member of a team - Confidently navigate and direct guests throughout the pavilion area - Excellent organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy - Strong customer service skills, both internal and external - Maintain a positive attitude - Ability to stand for an extended period of time and lift items up to 30 pounds - Exceptional communication skills while relating to people in a friendly, professional manner - Self-motivated; acts without needing directions - Perform cleaning duties as needed to maintain a clean, safe work environment **** ***This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of this job.
