Because of the temporary nature of these appointments, Casual Hire employees are not eligible for most benefits as provided to regular Board of Regents (BOR) and Civil Service Employees (i.e. paid holidays/leave). Title: (CASUAL) Staff Accompanist Hiring Unit: College of Arts and Sciences/Humanities/Performing Arts Position: \*\*\*Casual Hire\*\*\* Date Posted: July 16, 2026 Closing Date: July 23, 2026 Salary: $30.00/hour Full time/Part time: Part-time Temporary/Permanent: Temporary Other Conditions: Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected to begin August 2026, or soon thereafter. Not to exceed one year. **Duties:** 1. Piano Accompanist for the Performing Arts Department, including Chorus/Voice classes, Convocation, and required Juries or Showcases for the Fall and Spring Semester. **Minimum Qualifications:** 1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in any field from an accredited university, or equivalent experience. 2. Advanced pianist with at last 2 years of experience as an accompanist for a class or other performance-based organization. 3. Ability to sight-read and play sheet music quickly and skillfully, without advance preparation. 4. Able to stop and start, sometimes picking up in the middle of a phrase, according to the needs of the instructor or director. 5. Must be available for rehearsals and performances with students and faculty. **Desirable Qualifications:** 1. Experience working as a piano accompanist in a college environment. 2.
