Live Oaks Golf Club, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is an 18-hole, semi-private course designed by John F. Stahl and opened in 1969. The par 71 course sits on 130 acres, and the 200 year old live oak trees provide the setting for the best value for golf in the Jackson Metro area. The club offers a practice area with a chipping green and a putting green, in addition to hitting bays. Live Oaks is hiring for Cart Attendants. Primary responsibilities include: - Completing daily opening or closing procedures. - Hand picking certain areas of the short game area. - Touring the cart staging area, bag drop, and driving range several times an hour to ensure it is operating accordingly. - Keeping the golf carts organized and clean with pencils, scorecards, tees, etc. - Checks golf carts for damage and washes carts on a daily basis. - Responsible for daily operations of range ball recovery utilizing both mechanical and hand machinery and equipment. - Assisting the Head Golf Professional with the cart staging during all tournament operations. **Required Skills** - Ability to operate machinery. - Knowledge and execution of safe driving principles and practices. - Evaluation of customer satisfaction and responsiveness. **Physical Demands & Work Environment Requirements** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: - Walk and stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. - Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 75 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move heavy objects. - The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently: - Be exposed to outside weather conditions including temperatures over 90 and below 40 degrees. - Work near: moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals. - Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
