In this role, you will construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard using the carpenter’s hand and power tools. The ideal candidate is hard-working and dedicated to producing quality work. The Carpenter alters and installs walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, doors, and windows including all trim and finishes in all buildings on the hospital grounds. Also must be able to construct new drywall partitions and other temporary structures of wood construction. If you are an experienced Carpenter with a positive attitude, we want to hear from you. **Responsibilities** - Follow all safety rules and regulations - Maintain a clean and safe work environment - Use blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed - Construct wood structures including framing, joists, and rafters - Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware - Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals **Qualifications** - Previous experience as a Carpenter is preferred - Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and measurements - Ability to read and take action on blueprints - Ability to safely operate hand and power carpentry tools - Knowledge of building regulations and codes - Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects Compensation: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour **PROVIDING QUALITY STAFFING AND CONSULTING** **SINCE 2011** **Based out of San Antonio, Tex​as, our minority women-owned company specializes in all staffing and consulting needs.
