Carpenter

JSM Living is seeking a reliable and skilled *Carpenter* to join our team. We manage a diverse portfolio of residential apartments and commercial properties, and this role is essential to keeping our buildings safe, functional, and well-maintained for our residents and tenants. We're looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can be relied on to consistently deliver high-quality work. Strong attendance, dependability, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments are key to success in this position. **Key Responsibilities** - Perform carpentry-related repairs and maintenance work, including surface repairs, framing, trim work, drywall repairs, door and hardware installation, and other general carpentry tasks - Prepare job sites, materials, and tools for daily carpentry projects and repairs - Complete daily work orders accurately, efficiently, and with attention to detail - Operate, maintain, and clean various power and manual carpentry tools and equipment - Maintain electronic records by accurately documenting project-related time, labor, and materials - Communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments to complete projects efficiently and professionally - Participate in the on-call maintenance rotation as assigned - Provide support during peak workload periods, which may require overtime **What We're Looking For** - Valid driver’s license required - High school diploma or equivalent required - Minimum 2 years of relevant carpentry or construction experience - Fundamental knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and techniques, with the ability to perform detailed carpentry work independently - Comfortable utilizing electronic communication and work order systems, including email, mobile devices, and maintenance software - Comfortable working at heights and safely using ladders 6 feet or more above the ground - SkyTrak/Lull certification desired but not required - Flexibility for occasional overtime and participation in the on-call rotation **Compensation & Benefits** - Hourly starting rate - $25-$32 per hour - Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance - Paid time off and holidays - Paid day off for your birthday - 401(k) with company match - Paid weekly The starting hourly range for this position reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of this posting.
