JAE Houston, LLC JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Calibration Technician DEPARTMENT: JAE Houston, LLC REPORTS TO: Plant Manager SUPERVISES: None POSITION TYPE: Non-exempt # GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY: The Calibration Technician is responsible for performing the calibration work for JAE’s and/or third party’s directional module package and/or similar products for the oil & gas industry for the Houston Repair Center. The individual will also record data gathered during calibration and enter the data into the system. # MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. General calibration work which consists of: 1. Visual inspection 2. Identifying the product’s defective performance with calibration stand and system 3. Performing and adjusting calibration using the calibration equipment (jigs and data gathering software) 4. Monitor the Calibration Stand ovens for issues and take appropriate action to complete the calibration 5. Troubleshooting testing failures 1. Data entry of defect information, repair work and calibration data # DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / PERCENT General calibration work /70 Data entry of defect information, repair work and calibration data /20 Other administrative duties /10 CORE COMPETENCIES 1. General computer skills for data entry 2. Attention to detail: Ability to perform precise work and maintain high standards of quality 3. Problem-solving abilities: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. 4. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook 5. Good communication skills QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of calibration or related operational experience in the Oil and Gas Industry Skills: Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. # BUSINESS TRAVEL: This position requires no traveling. PHYSICAL DEMAND: This position requires lifting up to 30 pounds frequently. Standing for up to 8 hours.
