Ability to lift 25-30 pounds without assistance. Ability to perform moderate physical work efficiently with continuous standing. Ability to mop and sweep assigned area. • Willingness to work in any situation when production kitchen is involved. • Emotional stability and physical fitness to perform duties assigned at sufficient speed to carry out an efficient operation. • Personal standards of appearance and dress corresponding with those required by food service. • Interest in food preparation and service. Courtesy and tact in dealing people. • Interest in children and school programs. • Must furnish own transportation or method of transportation. REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager / Child Nutrition Supervisor JOB GOAL: To perform at a high proficiency level of responsibilities as outlined below. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Perform efficiently and to the best of his/her ability the duties assigned in relation to preparation of food, serving of food, cleaning all areas of the kitchen, or other assigned duties in the time allotted. 1. Attend training meetings as required. 2. Report to work at designated time, sign the time card, and remain on the job until dismissed by the manager. 3. Notify the manager at the earliest possible time when unable to work. 4. Maintain pleasant working relations with fellow employees by showing consideration for others, patience, respect, self-control, and other desirable character traits. 5. Maintain desirable relations between school and community. 6. Follow all policies of the School Board and instructions of the manager relating to safety measures, sanitation practices, personal standards, work techniques, and methods of performing duties. 7. Perform duties involved in the safe preparation and handling of food, cleaning, and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, serving of food, cashiering, and record keeping. 8. During cafeteria working hours, workers shall devote their time to cafeteria duties. 9. Select food needed from storeroom between opening of the cafeteria and 8:30 a.m. 10. All foods taken out of the storeroom are to be recorded by name and amount. All workers are to keep the storeroom, cooler, and freezer orderly and clean. 11. Perform other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 182 days: Salary based on salary scale established by the school board EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Trustees' policy on evaluation of District personnel.
