Cafeteria Staff JobID: 1368 Position Type: Support Staff/Cafeteria Worker Date Posted: 7/14/2026 Location: North Elementary School Date Available: 08/06/2026 Closing Date: Until Filled Additional Information: Show/Hide Cafeteria Worker Reports To: Food Service Director, Building Principals Classification: Non-Certified Employee Position Requirements: Minimum High School Diploma or GED Experience in food service (preferred) Excellent Communication and Team Skills Strong Organizational Skills Employment Factors 180 Day Contract 12 Personal Leave Days 4 Hours Per Day (Hours Vary by Duty) Cafeteria Benefit Package (Details Available on Corporation Web Page/Board/Contract Information) Starting Salary Range $14.15-$16.49/hr Nature of Work Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu Being a server on the hot service line Clean and prepare student dining areas Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage Connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day Supervise the food temperature requirements Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment; duties include sweeping, moping, ware washing Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative. Can work independently and in a team setting. Attention to detail and organized.
