Daily Planet Caf� is looking for a dependable, energetic Part-Time Caf� Shift Supervisor to help oversee our busiest time of day�our lunch rush! About the Role As the Shift Supervisor, you'll help lead our caf� team during lunch service, ensuring guests receive exceptional service while supporting daily operations. Our caf� offers a variety of fresh menu items, including hot and cold sandwiches, fresh salads, appetizers, specialty coffee drinks, and more. This position is perfect for someone looking for consistent daytime hours with leadership responsibilities in a fun, customer-focused environment. What You'll Do Supervise and support the caf� team during peak lunch hours. Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere. Assist with preparing and serving food and beverages, including coffee drinks. Keep service running efficiently during high-volume periods. Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally. Ensure food quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards are maintained. Coach and motivate team members while leading by example. Work closely with management to ensure smooth daily operations. What We're Looking For Previous experience in the food service or hospitality industry. Some supervisory, shift lead, or management experience preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn. Positive attitude with a team-first mindset. Reliable transportation. Dependable attendance and punctuality.
