They bring together our employees and are integrated in our everyday work practises. **Job Description** The Industrial Buyer Associate primary responsibility will be responsible for choosing and buying goods, items, and services that will be used by the company. The industrial buyer, after all, has to set the price and the quality of these items and services, making sure that they fit the needs and standards of the business and, in turn, their clients. The role will assist Production Finance Manager and be the intermediate between our suppliers and the company. **Key Responsibilities & Reporting Lines** The role reports to the Production Finance Manager, but will work closely with our Quality, R&D, Maintenance and Production departments to further our Brioche Pasquier-Galaxy goals and mission. **Key Responsibilities:** - Launch bid process to optimize and negotiate purchasing cost in the following categories: - Raw materials - Packaging - Energy - Equipment - Partner with Parent Company to develop and implement a purchasing strategy and method - Support Quality and R&D into the new product development by sourcing new ingredients - Support Quality in the updated of the documents and certification for our ingredients - Support Maintenance department in ordering and invoicing parts and equipment - Recommend cost reduction plans - Forecast and communicate changes in market prices and trends - Prepare the monthly Purchasing reviews, meetings, etc…, coordinating information amongst the departments: Quality Manager, R&D Manager, Production Finance Manager and Direction - Simplicity & Passion - Understanding our Company philosophy, values, and products - Understanding our products needs and requirements - Promoting the Brioche Pasquier and Galaxy Desserts Company wherever possible - Making current suppliers’ relationship to provide a good foundation for future negotiation - Developing and maintaining a harmonious, effective working environment with team members within all areas of Brioche Pasquier Galaxy Desserts - Working closely with the Production Finance Manager and other departments - Giving Progress Reports on purchasing needs, problems, and negotiation **Qualifications and Experience** **Essential Skills and Requirements:** - BA/BS in Purchasing or equivalent. - Proficient skills in negotiation and purchasing. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively - Strong listening and presentation skills - Analyzing and Synthesizing skills - Expertise in interpreting and drafting purchasing contracts - Ability to lead purchasing-related projects in a cross-functional environment - Basic Microsoft Word, Office 365, Excel, and PowerPoint skills **Essential Behavioral and Physical Requirements:** - Excellent communication (both written and verbal) & strong phone presence - Able to work independently to carry out tasks and ability to work within a team structure - Proven problem solving and decision-making skills - Be flexible to changing priorities and company needs - Ability to sit for extended periods while performing computer-based work. - Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the fac…
