**Job Description:** **Title** **:** **Business Services Representative** **Classification: Non-Exempt** **Salay: $52,000/yr** **Scope of Position** The Business Services Representative (BSR) responds to employers who want to connect with our system of record and will also connect employers to the PA CareerLink®. This role is responsible for supporting employer partnerships, coordinating, and attending rapid response events at employer sites, and assisting with center-based hiring and recruitment events. The BSR operates across multiple PA CareerLink® locations throughout the city and serves as a liaison between employers, dislocated workers, and System-Wide Special projects. In addition to any request by PA CareerLink®, this position will provide staff assistance services to employers that are interested in working with PA CareerLink®, and customers. **Essential Functions** • Provide staff assistance services to employers that are interested in working with PA CareerLink® and their customers • To support all PA CareerLink® centers in achieving their employment goals for customers • Make sure that employers have their business profile approved in CWDS • Verify, validate, and approve job postings • Support hiring events/ job fairs and information sections with employers from PA CareerLink® • Support PA CareerLink® centers with hosting local career fairs • Monitor scam preventions • Maintain a good relationship on behalf of the PA CareerLink® with employers to ensure employers have access to candidates in the workforce system • Identify employers that aligned with special projects workforce initiatives assigned in support PA CareerLink® • Support rapid-response activities, including layoff events, employer site visits, and support for the dislocated workers • Maintaining an ongoing knowledge of industry trends and labor market information to inform employers and PA CareerLink® staff • Ensures accurate documentation of employer interactions, job postings, referrals, and event outcomes • Represents PA CareerLink® in community and employer-facing activities, promoting workforce programs and services • Participate in monthly meetings with all PA CareerLink® centers Business Services staff to discuss employer engagement strategies, placement goals, priority industries, and workforce development opportunities • Maybe co-located at PA CareerLink® centers as assigned • Documents all employers’ activities in CWDS and/or other systems identified • Maintain ongoing knowledge of industry-specific job postings for sharing and distribution across the system • Requires flexibility for off-site events, employer meetings, and occasional evening or non-traditional hours **Education and Experience Requirement** • High school diploma required, associate degree or some college preferred • Provide excellent Customer Service • Must be comfortable delivering presentations to large and small groups • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel (intermediate to advanced level) • Strong data collection, data entry accuracy, and reporting skills • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision • Must be flexible with scheduling and workload changes • Must be comfortable with frequent local travel throughout the City of Philadelphia • Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle required • Able to work fully onsite, in a hybrid environment, or at employer sites as needed EDSI is an equal opportunity employer.
