"Join us in our mission to serve the poorest of the poor." **Overall Responsibility:** The BI Technical Analyst is responsible for translating business reporting and analytics needs into clear, structured, and testable technical requirements that enable the successful delivery of trusted business intelligence solutions. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams by documenting scope, data requirements, KPI definitions, validation expectations, and readiness criteria before development begins. The position focuses on requirements of quality, data enablement, stakeholder alignment, and acceptance planning to ensure analytics solutions are feasible, governed, measurable, and aligned to organizational priorities. **This role is to be hired in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.** **Duties:** **Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement** - Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather business objectives, reporting needs, scope, constraints, user personas, and success criteria. - Partner with Data Product Owners, Project Managers, BI Developers, Data Engineers, and business users to ensure readiness before development. - Support prioritization by clarifying business impact, dependencies, risks, scope, assumptions, and non-goals. - Prepare stakeholder communications and release notes for reporting and analytics changes. **Requirements Definition & Documentation** - Translate business needs into high-quality technical requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. - Document report, dashboard, and dataset specifications, including metrics, filters, calculations, and service-level expectations. - Maintain documentation version control, decision logs, and change records for traceability and auditability. **Data Analysis, Mapping & Governance** - Analyze source systems (entities, relationships, grain, and dependencies) to support reporting needs. - Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data definitions, business glossary entries, and data lineage documentation. - Capture KPI and metric definitions, including logic, assumptions, edge cases, and validation methods. - Promote data governance principles such as ownership, definitions, access controls, and documentation standards. **Data Quality, Validation & Issue Resolution** - Define data validation and reconciliation expectations (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and freshness). - Identify data gaps, conflicting definitions, and dependencies; partner with teams to resolve issues. - Collaborate with technical teams during development and testing to refine requirements and ensure alignment with expectations. **Testing Support & Continuous Improvement** - Develop UAT materials (test scenarios, test cases, expected results, and sign-off criteria). - Monitor stakeholder feedback post-delivery and support continuous improvement of requirements and analytics processes. - Perform additional duties and special projects aligned with reporting and data enablement priorities. **Education and Experience:** - Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. - Minimum of 4 or more years of experience in a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, Requirements Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or BI Technical Analyst role with demonstrable ownership of requirements and documen…
