The Business Development Associate will also monitor and track reported fire, water, and other property-loss events throughout the assigned territory. The associate will identify potential opportunities, visit affected locations when appropriate, and introduce SERVPRO’s emergency restoration services to property owners, managers, and other decision-makers. **Job Responsibilities** - Conduct daily face-to-face prospecting and door-to-door sales activities throughout the assigned territory. - Introduce SERVPRO’s emergency restoration and reconstruction services to local businesses, property owners, property managers, and other potential referral partners. - Monitor and track reported fire, water, and property-loss events throughout the New Orleans Metro and Slidell areas. - Respond promptly to identified sales opportunities by visiting affected locations and connecting with appropriate decision-makers. - Build, maintain, and strengthen professional relationships through consistent visits, marketing calls, and follow-up communication. - Generate qualified leads and help convert opportunities into new projects and customer relationships. - Use company marketing and customer relationship management software (Salesforce) to document daily activities, contacts, leads, and opportunities. - Maintain accurate records of fire and water losses, prospect visits, referrals, and follow-up activities. - Provide management with regular updates regarding sales activity, opportunities, market conditions, and territory performance. **Job Requirements** - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required. - Previous sales, customer service, canvassing, hospitality, or business development experience is helpful but not required. - Comfortable conducting door-to-door outreach and initiating conversations with new people. - Confident, professional, persistent, and comfortable working independently in the field. - Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills. - Willingness to learn SERVPRO’s services, sales processes, and customer relationship management systems. - Ability to use a smartphone, email, mapping applications, and basic business software. - Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory. **Ideal Candidate** The ideal candidate enjoys meeting people and is not afraid to walk into a business, introduce themselves, and start a conversation.
