**Summary:** Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Harbor Light facility and support specialists ensuring the overall efficient, effective, and safe operation of the facility. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:** - Take control of the facility by walking around observing people, property and events taking place - Maintain accurate documentation regarding supervised staff - Monitor staff, clients, residents, church members and visitors - Give supervision, training, direction and assistance to the Support Specialists - Assist staff in maintaining order and efficiency in the performance of their responsibilities - Investigate all serious occurrences/issues that take place during the shift - Communicate verbally and in writing, to the Site Operations Supervisor, all serious occurrences/issues that take place during the shift on the next business day - Summarize and record the shift report in the daily log **Qualifications:** - Ability to communicate effectively through spoken and written word - TB Test and police clearance required - Authorization to work in the United States **Education/Experience:** - Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent - Minimum of two years practical experience as a Supervisor - Possess a working knowledge of addiction recovery **Computer Skills:** - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email and internet - Experience using electronic medical records system preferred 1. **Reasoning Ability:** - Understand and work within The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission Statements - Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light Policies and Procedures The Salvation Army offers the following benefits: - Health Care Benefits which include: - Medical - Dental - Vision - Hearing - Flexible spending accounts - AFLAC - Voluntary life insurance benefits - Short-Term and Long-Term Disability options - Pet Insurance - Pension contributions (currently 6.0% of your earnings) begin the first quarter after 1 year of employment. - Vesting starts after three years of employment, 100% vested after five years of employment - The Salvation Army also offers a 403(b) voluntary retirement savings plan in which you may participate immediately, with approved vendors.
