# **Job Summary** This role oversees maintenance of all aspects of hotel and commercial center facilities, base camp, hotel driveway, lodge infrastructure and structures, including pool maintenance, outdoor deck areas, and maintenance of surrounding vegetation. You will be a project manager and leader who understands workflow, time management, budgeting, and delegation. Responsible for facilitating the work of the maintenance/janitorial operations team which includes building maintenance, janitorial, lodge, base camp and commercial center area snow removal. Responsible for executing day to day operations of the hotel and ensuring long term stability of the lodge, facilities and systems. # **Job Duties and Responsibilities** *This job description is intended as a summary of the primary responsibilities of and the qualifications for the position. When we do ask for your assistance with any job, we expect an enthusiastic and cooperative response.* - Develop, execute on, and sustain effective plans for responsible departments: Hotel building and Base Camp facility maintenance and surrounding area snow removal. - Establish and execute preventative maintenance routines for HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical grids, and major appliances. - Inspect and maintain fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and backup generators regularly. - Strategically plan for improvements in season and from season to season. - Perform repairs and maintenance on buildings, guest rooms, equipment, and facilities, including plumbing leaks, windows, doors, fixtures, and other general maintenance needs. - Ensure workplace safety through proper training and policy/procedure adherence. - Create and foster an environment where safety is a priority, and all team members are comfortable and willing to raise questions and concerns related to safety ensuring compliance with all OSHA regulations and other agency requirements. - Develop and maintain departmental plan for training, goals and career development. - Support operations and staff relations to ensure a positive employee experience, including successful hiring, ensuring staff scheduling meets operational needs, providing necessary training, addressing employee relations, recognition and coaching/discipline, as needed. - Curate and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and other contacts. - Ensure usage, upkeep and flow of work order system through project management scope and delegation. - Administrative duties in relation to purchasing, payroll etc. - Provide leadership, actively supporting company policies & procedures, a constant focus on and drive toward great guest service and ensuring a positive employee and guest experience. - Other duties as assigned. # **Skills and Competencies** - Education or equivalent experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field. - Experience managing facility maintenance, infrastructure, grounds, and building systems. - Project management and operational leadership experience. - 3–5 years of supervisory experience; multi-department management preferred. - Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure project completion. - Effective verbal, written, and radio communication skills with a collaborative leadership style. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Willingness to perform hands-on maintenance work as needed, including snow removal and equipment troubleshooting. - Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, roofing, fixture installation, and general building repairs; refrigerati…
