**Mohave County Public Works Department is looking to fill the position of a Budget and Accreditation Manager.** Are you an experienced financial and administrative professional who enjoys strategic planning, budget management, grants, and process improvement? Mohave County is seeking a Budget & Accreditation Manager to help lead the financial and operational success of our Public Works Department. If you are ready to make a lasting impact on the services that keep Mohave County moving, we encourage you to apply! **In this leadership role, you will:** - Develop and manage departmental budgets - Prepare financial analyses, reports, and long-range planning documents - Write and administer grants - Manage contracts and ensure fiscal accountability - Lead accreditation efforts and oversee policies and procedures - Partner with County departments, leadership, and external agencies - Support emergency management reimbursement and financial recovery efforts **Minimum Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Financial Management, Accounting, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field - Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in finance, budgeting, management, analysis, or public administration - Experience with policy development, project management, and contract administration - Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills - **Must pass pre-employment background screening.** - **Must possess a valid driver's license for operation of motor vehicles at the start of employment and maintain said license while employed in this position.** **Compensation** Salary Range: Range 17/Steps 1-18 **($25.65-$42.41)** **Proud to Offer** Mohave County is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package. Additional benefits include: - Paid Time Off (PTO) - 6.5 hours accrued bi-weekly (32+ hour employees only) - 39 hours of PTO front loaded - Regular accrual starts on 7^th^pay period - Enrollment in Arizona State Retirement System - Contribution rate of 11.98% with 100% Employer match starting on first day. - 11 Paid Holidays - Develop and manage the Public Works Departmental Budget in conjunction with the Director, managers and division supervisors; direct disbursement of funds and deposit of revenues; may review, approve, and procure expenditures. - Prepare cost benefit analyses and research ways to reduce costs. - Write grants and administer the grant program for Public Works. - Manage Public Works contracts for budget and schedule conformance. - Monitor program and financial reports; develop and submit necessary budgetary information; administer program budgets. - Provide budgetary consultation matters to managers and supervisors; assist in problem resolution regarding budget and staffing resources. - Prepare detailed financial and statistical reports, long-range planning documents, and other reports or documents as needed. - Calculate and process principal and interest payments of all bonds, loans, contract payments, etc. for Public Works. - Generate, maintain and prepare all Public Works financial reports required for the Finance Department, audits and any other financial/budget reports required by outside agencies. - Perform finance and administration functions under emergency management activities; develop claims and manage emergency reimbursements and emergency project closeout. - Maintain database in conjunction with Public Works needs for fixed assets. - Act as a fiscal liaison between Public Works and other County departments and outside agencies. - Perform professional, administrative and investigational work in the maintenance and coordination of American Public Works Associat…
