You ensure every guest starts their day feeling valued and well-cared for. ### Job Duties and Responsibilities - **Prepares** and **cooks** a variety of breakfast items according to established recipes, quality standards, and guest preferences. - **Sets up** and **maintains** the breakfast buffet, ensuring all food items are fresh, replenished, and attractively displayed throughout service hours. - **Monitors** food levels, **temperatures**, and **quality**, replenishing items promptly to meet guest demand. - **Ensures** strict **food safety** and sanitation standards are consistently met, including proper food handling, storage, and waste management. - **Interacts** with guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner, **addresses** their needs, and **responds** to requests with genuine hospitality. - **Maintains** cleanliness and orderliness of the entire breakfast area, including dining tables, serving stations, and kitchen equipment. - **Manages** inventory of breakfast supplies, **notifies** management of shortages, and **assists** with ordering and receiving as needed. - **Organizes** and **prioritizes** tasks effectively to ensure timely service and efficient operations during peak breakfast hours. - **Collaborates** seamlessly with other team members to deliver a cohesive and positive guest experience. - **Adheres** to all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. ### Required Qualifications **Education** - **Possesses** a high school diploma or equivalent. **Experience** - **Demonstrates** prior experience in a customer service or food service role. - **Handles** food preparation and serving in a fast-paced environment. **Knowledge/Skills** - **Applies** strong **Customer Service** principles, always prioritizing guest satisfaction. - **Executes** **Food Preparation** tasks efficiently and to high standards. - **Understands** and **practices** strict **Food Safety** guidelines. - **Excels** at **Buffet Setup** and presentation. - **Performs** thorough **Cleaning & Sanitation** duties. - **Builds** positive **Guest Relations** through friendly interactions. - **Assists** with basic **Inventory Management** tasks. - **Utilizes** effective **Time Management** to complete duties promptly. - **Embodies** the spirit of **Hospitality** in all interactions. - **Communicates** clearly and effectively with guests and team members. **Preferred Qualifications** - **Holds** a current food handler's permit or certification. - **Possesses** experience in a hotel breakfast setting. **Physical Requirements/Work Conditions** - **Stands** and **walks** for extended periods. - **Lifts**, **carries**, and **pushes** up to 25 pounds occasionally. - **Bends**, **stoops**, and **reaches** frequently. - **Works** in an environment with varying temperatures, including warm kitchen areas. - **Handles** hot and cold food items safely. - **Works** early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
