Founded in 2009, OMB proudly brews its beers in accordance with the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot of 1516), producing traditional, high-quality beers made with only water, barley, hops, and yeast. OMB currently operates two hospitality-driven brewery destinations. Our flagship location in Charlotte's Lower South End (LoSo) features a full-service restaurant, brewery, and expansive biergarten, and has become one of the region's most iconic gathering places. In June 2024, OMB expanded with the opening of a second location in Ballantyne — a large, two-story restaurant and biergarten designed to elevate the guest experience and extend OMB's presence in the Charlotte market. As OMB continues to grow, construction is underway on OMB Riverview at Mount Holly — our third Brauhaus & Biergarten — scheduled to open in Fall 2026. This next phase of expansion reflects OMB's long-term vision to thoughtfully grow while maintaining the culture, quality, and sense of community that define the brand. Each location is built around creating memorable experiences for guests and a strong, values-driven culture for our team **ABOUT THE ROLE** | **THE ROLE AT A GLANCE** *The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead OMB Riverview at Mount Holly, our third Brauhaus & Biergarten, opening Fall 2026. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who sets the standard, inspires teams, and takes pride in delivering an outstanding guest experience every single day.* *The General Manager serves as both the operational leader and cultural ambassador of OMB. You will be responsible for building great leaders, fostering a best-in-class hospitality culture, and ensuring that every guest interaction reflects OMB's commitment to quality, tradition, and service. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone driven to be the best — who leads from the front and holds themselves and their team to the highest standards.* *The General Manager will join OMB no later than September 1, 2026, and spend the weeks before opening working alongside our leadership teams at LoSo and Ballantyne — including throughout our Mecktoberfest celebrations — before leading the opening of Riverview.* | | --- | **WHAT YOU'LL DO** **■ LAUNCH OMB RIVERVIEW** - Own pre-opening readiness — hiring, training, vendor and systems setup, and operating standards. - Recruit and develop the founding leadership team, instilling OMB’s culture and standards from day one. - Partner with senior leadership on the opening timeline, licensing, and launch execution. **■ LEAD WITH PURPOSE AND PRESENCE** - Set the tone and standard for leadership, hospitality, and professionalism throughout the organization. - Serve as a visible, engaged leader who is regularly on the floor, connecting with guests and supporting the team. - Inspire a culture of accountability, pride, and continuous improvement. **■ CREATE AN EXCEPTIONAL GUEST EXPERIENCE** - Ensure every guest receives warm, welcoming, and consistent hospitality. - Champion service excellence across the restaurant, biergarten, and tasting room. - Uphold the quality, presentation, and authenticity of OMB's food and beer at all times. **■ BUILD AND DEVELOP GREAT TEAMS** - Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop a strong leadership team and staff at all levels. - Coach and mentor managers, helping them grow as leaders and decision-makers. - Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workpl…
