BRAKE PRESS OPERATOR JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the fabrication of aluminum & steel parts by using a mechanical or hydraulic brake press ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for part accuracy (dimensions) when complete. Responsible for completing daily work as assigned by supervisor as well as weekly schedule. Detect and report faulty equipment and/or materials to team leader and supervisor. Use safety equipment as instructed. Follow safety regulations and company policies. Maintain work area, equipment and tools in clean orderly condition. Perform other duties and cross-train as required or assigned JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Excellent math skills (converting decimals to fraction and vice versa) Excellent blue print reading skills Able to read a tape measure, precision square, and protractor with accuracy Acute visualization ability Very detailed oriented Organized Works well in team environment Fast paced learner PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical fitness to perform all functions of designated work areas. This includes small tool use, full arm and leg range of motion, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, work in awkward positions, talking and hearing. Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35#, frequently lift and/or move up to 50#. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
