Letter of Interest, Resume and application through the District website This position provides instructional support for Grades 1-8 in the After School Program. Reporting to the After School Program Director, employees will be expected to work collaboratively and effectively with the After School Program Site Coordinator, as well as with all BOP staff. An SDCY BOP After School Support Staff is expected to be present each day, demonstrate an appropriate professional decorum, promote an atmosphere conducive to learning, exhibit a customer- service mindset, manage deadlines, and maintain discipline with energy, integrity, creativity, and drive. An SDCY BOP Support Staff is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and implementation of student lessons in reading/writing, mathematics, and character education in accordance with the School District of the City of York's policies and the SDCY BOP After School Program goals. Classroom duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Support BOP teaching staff in the creation and delivery of targeted reading/ math lessons. Assist in the transition of students from the regular school day to the After School Program. Develop strong relationships with students and among students. Establish high expectations and After School Program classroom routines to maximize student engagement and to minimize off-task behaviors. Work directly with BOP Staff and the After School Program Director to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Oversee and monitor student conduct during program hours.
