Position Summary - Under the supervision of the Body Shop Manager, the Body Shop Foreman oversees the collision repair and refinish processes from start to finish and is responsible for working with the department manager to supervise technicians in this department. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.** - Properly staff the department including training staff. - Checks daily output, monitor daily productivity reports and performance, and conducts periodic spot checks for quality. - Sets goals for department and staff. - Gives fair and accurate estimates on costs and time required for collision repair work. - Oversees work performed and prepares final billing for completed repairs. - Performs quality checks on all completed work to ensure each job is completed to the highest level of quality. - Other duties as assigned **Supervisory Responsibilities** - Oversees Body Shop personnel. May have direct report to or may work in conjunctions with employees reporting to the Body Shop Manager **Qualifications -** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **Education** - Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a fully accredited two-year college or technical school - General Experience Minimum of three years related experience and/or training - An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable **Specific Experience** - Broad knowledge of trucks dealing with mechanical, and parts associated with repair - Thorough understanding of body shop procedures including mechanical, aesthetic and estimating issues - Previous Experience working as a Body Shop or Service Foreman is preferred. Reading Skills 4 - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
