Powering a new electric world for a brighter, more secure future. ## Job Description The Blaster is responsible for preparing metal parts and welded assemblies by blasting surfaces to remove rust, dirt, and other contaminants. This role ensures that all parts meet quality standards before advancing to the next step in the production process. The Blaster works within the manufacturing team to support on-time delivery of high-quality products. **Schedule**: Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm | Occasional Saturdays 6am to 12pm **Accountabilities** - Stage metal parts and welded assemblies for blasting. - Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare sheet metal surfaces. - Remove scale, rust, grease, and other materials using abrasive blasting techniques. - Inspect blasted parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. - Safely unload and organize cleaned parts for the next step in production. - Maintain and clean blasting equipment as needed. - Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe always. - Meet or exceed production timelines and quality expectations. ## Qualifications **Require knowledge/Experience** - 2+ years of blasting or painting experience in a commercial or industrial setting. - Experience with spray application techniques and equipment. - Familiarity with primers, epoxies, urethanes, and other industrial coatings. - Able to work independently and follow safety and quality procedures - Experience using blasting tools and equipment (e.g., blast pot, dust collector, recovery unit) - Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance - Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail - Ability to read and understand work instructions and basic drawing - Basic math skills **Education** - High School Diploma/GED required **Values** - Safety Focus: Prioritize safety in all actions.
