Brief Description The Biostatistician is responsible for: The experience and expertise to perform statistical analysis projects using SAS and/or S-PLUS. Conducts analyses and works with Biostatistics team members to delivered assigned work. Statistical consultant to CAP members, committees, and staff. Provides programming expertise on assigned projects. Specific Duties Provide timely and accurate statistical and data analysis expertise for designing studies, managing data, and conducting statistical analyses. Collaborate with project partners to prepare analysis plans for each assigned project, including a timeline for deliverables. Conduct individual analyses on projects, including programming assignments in SAS and/or S-PLUS. Provide statistical consulting with assigned CAP staff and/or committee members. Assist in the development and review of committee manuscripts. Partner with PT Operations and Technical staff to analyze and troubleshoot data anomalies. Work with CAP Biostatistics programming staff on jointly assigned programs. Consult with Senior Biostatisticians on statistical issues. Knowledge/Skills Required/Preferred Personal: Excellent verbal communication, technical writing skills and problem solving ability. Excellent technical skills and the ability and desire to expand expertise and apply current statistical methods. Effective workload management skills. Ability to independently write programs in statistical analysis software packages. Education/Experience Education: Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field. Two to five years statistical experience, preferably in the medical field. Five years of experience in SAS and/or S-PLUS required. Additional Criteria Minimal Travel Required Salary: $87,000 - $111,000
