Billing Representative

**Summary/Objective:** Accurately and efficiently handles all insurance claim billing and patient correspondence. **Essential Functions:** 1. Process/Submit electronic and paper claims (1500 forms) to Insurance companies for payment. 2. Work A/R and callback reports daily, involves contacting payer for payment. (Aging A/R is completed 2 times monthly.) 3. Maintain a good amount of productive calls per day. (Patients and insurance) 4. Work incoming mail daily, includes claim denials, requests for additional information and undeliverable mail. 5. Patient correspondence involves the set up payment arrangements, mail monthly statements, handle and resolve customer complaints. 6. Set up accounts for First level insurance appeals. 7. Work as a team to complete all tasks. **Competencies:** 1. Time Management & Accuracy 2. Detail Oriented 3. Outstanding Customer Service **Preferred or Required Education and Experience:** Preferred prior Medical Billing/Collections experience. High School Diploma or GED.
