The Child & Family Services Division (CFSD) of the [Department of Human Services (DHS)](https://www.arlingtonva.us/Government/Departments/DHS), Children’s Behavioral Health Bureau (BHB) is seeking an experienced clinician and leader to serve as a **Bilingual Assistant Behavioral Health Supervisor (English/Spanish)**. The Bureau is responsible for providing comprehensive, trauma informed, culturally responsive mental health and substance use services to help youth, with the support of their parents, thrive in their environments. Services for youth are provided in their homes, school, community, County facilities, DHS office, and via telehealth. For more information, please visit [Child & Family Services Division](https://family.arlingtonva.us/). ### Responsibilities **Specific duties include:** - Providing direct clinical, licensure, and administrative supervision of assigned staff/interns as directed by Manager (including conducting chart audits, supporting compliance standards, case load management and monitoring); - Coordinating onboarding and ongoing training for new staff and interns; - Providing training and support to staff; - Representing CFSD and BHB in program work groups and committee’s; - Providing public information and education regarding program services and access procedures; - Participating in and assigning community outreach, engagement, education activities related to behavioral health and/or potential clients and families; - Maintaining modified caseload of clients and their families including mental health and/or substance use, case management, etc.; - Supporting teams in managers’ absence and coordinating coverage for staff; - Assisting managers with program development and coordination to address identified behavioral health needs and implement best practices-including development of policies and protocols, performance measures/outcome reporting and other process improvements and strategic planning and implementation activities; and - Meeting policy requirements for accurate and timely clinical documentation and productivity standards. **The ideal candidate will possess:** - Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to effectively resolve concerns and collaborate with diverse stakeholders; - Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex, sensitive, and confidential information clearly and professionally; - Sound judgment, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to apply established policies, procedures, and best practices to address routine challenges; and - Proven knowledge in the use of electronic health record systems.
