BEVERAGE SERVER Job Description & Core Responsibilities Department: Bar Reports To: Bar Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Pay Grade: 1-T Starting Wage: $11.13 - $13.51 Gaming Class: Non-Compact/Non-Gaming Application Deadline: July 24th, 2026 Position Summary: The Beverage Server is responsible for delivering a high-quality service experience to our guests. This involves providing prompt and courteous beverage service in a defined and efficient manner. The Beverage Server is responsible for maintaining a secure and accurate bank at all times and ensuring a clean and safe work station. Core Duties and Responsibilities: The Beverage Server is responsible for the following duties: - Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. - Attend department meetings. - Assist guests in selecting and recommending beverages, ensuring they are satisfied with their choices. - Serve beverages in accordance with established procedures to ensure accuracy and quality. - Maintain a clean and well-stocked beverage station, ensuring the area is organized and functional at all times. - Monitor and report any inventory shortages or issues to management promptly. - Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines, ensuring guests are not over-served. - Collect payments and process transactions using the appropriate payment methods. - Check ID’s. - Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet. - Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving. - Maintain a thorough understanding of casino promotions, events, and amenities to assist guests with information and recommendations as needed. - Continuously reinforce the casino's "responsible gaming" message to guests in a professional and friendly manner. - Attend mandatory TIPS training and attain certification. - Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted money; keep bank secure at all times. - Remove empty bottles, glasses, etc., from tables and in between machines. - Clearly communicate last call at designated closing time to guests. - Stay in section and be visible to customers-keep section neat and clean. - Know when and how to cut someone off in a professional and courteous manner. - Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment: The work environment is fast-paced and requires overall good mental and physical health. Physical Demands: Job-specific abilities and requirements include: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to climb ladders. Ability to carry heavy trays for an extended period of time. Ability to work in tight spaces. Ability to perform repetitive motion. Ability to crouch, crawl, and kneel. Ability to tolerate various scents, noises, and bright lights. Preference: It is the policy of the Bois Forte Band, pursuant to tribal and federal law, to give preference to qualified Native Americans in hiring, promotion, and departmental transfers. Preference will be extended to members of the Bois Forte Band, members of other federally recognized tribes and to status Natives born in Canada. 10 AM - 6PM
