We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated **Behavioral Health Therapist** to join our integrated care team. This will be a split role, working in both our **Manistee** and **Benzonia Clinics.** **About the Role** As part of NMHSI’s patient-centered health model (PCMH), the Behavioral Health Therapist provides traditional counseling and integrated behavioral health services to patients of all ages. This licensed clinician works closely within a team-based model to support patients’ emotional, psychological, and physical well-being through coordinated, high-quality care. **View full job description for more details.** **Key Responsibilities** - Conduct behavioral health screenings and assessments for adults, adolescents, and children - Provide diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy using a variety of modalities - Offer short-term behavioral interventions, crisis management, and care coordination - Collaborate with medical providers to address behavioral health needs in primary care - Maintain updated community resource connections and make appropriate referrals - Complete timely documentation, assessments, and billing requirements within the EHR - Provide consultation, training, and support to primary care and dental staff on behavioral health topics **Qualifications** - Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) in Michigan - Licensure supervision provided: LLMSW or LLPC considered; CAADC preferred but not required - Experience providing behavioral health services in a community-based setting preferred - Strong teamwork, communication, and crisis intervention skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team - Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity **Why Join NMHSI?** **As a team member with NMHSI, you become eligible for an outstanding benefits package 30 days after employment, including:** - A rewarding and meaningful practice setting - Supportive, team-based work culture - Competitive compensation - Paid time off and paid holidays - Retirement plan with company contribution - Continuing education support (time & funding) - Company-paid license renewal and Licensure supervision provided - Potential for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Join Our Mission-Driven Team If you are dedicated to improving behavioral health access and want to make a meaningful impact in your community, we encourage you to apply.
