We’re looking for a Behavioral Support Professional (also known as an **Intensive Support Associate)** to join our team in **Anchorage, Alaska**. Hope Community Resources, Inc. is a non-profit disabilities service provider based in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1968, our company provides services and supports to people of all ages and abilities who experience an intellectual, developmental, or other disability, traumatic brain injury, or mental health challenge. In this role, you’ll provide direct care and supervision with a strong focus on safety, well-being, and dignity. You’ll support individuals in building daily living skills, strengthening social connections, and developing communication strategies that promote independence and meaningful community inclusion. Each day, you’ll create opportunities for the people we support to work toward their goals, following individualized plans of care and support strategies. You’ll also play an important role in implementing behavioral and mental health supports and using de-escalation techniques to respond thoughtfully and effectively when challenges arise. **We are looking for all days, all hours, and have flexible schedules available!** ## Requirements **Qualifications:** - High School diploma or GED; - Six (6) months of experience working with people with disabilities or challenging behaviors. - Experience with aggressive behaviors or other intensive supports that may include continual heightened vigilance in supervision and monitoring, formalized behavior management strategies, and/or verbal and physical de-escalation techniques preferred - Driver's License, personal vehicle, and clean driving record - Comfortable providing personal care and hygiene assistance
