PACT is an evidence-based model that provides comprehensive treatment, rehabilitation, and support to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. This PACT team is designed to work with a specialized population with a history of criminal engagement. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the unique needs and history/background of the population, clinical interventions and have the ability to develop and maintain clear and therapeutic boundaries. A proven experience in community-based work with adults with severe and persistent mental illness is a must. Responsibilities: Provide outreach support services to forensic PACT clients and medication supports as needed to clients living independently in the community. Provide side by side interventions to consumers that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement. Assist the team and consumers in providing on-going assessment of symptoms and responses to staff interventions. Promote opportunities to participate in pro-social activities and interpersonal skill development. Provide assistance to consumers related to transportation to court, work sites, court mandated treatment, probation/parole meetings, daily activities, appointments or as needed/directed by supervisor. Qualifications: Must have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, criminal justice, social work or related field with at least two years of experience with population. Must have the skills to establish supportive relationships with adults with mental illness who have limited social skills and experiences with histories of unsuccessful community tenure. Valid Massachusetts Drivers License Schedule: Friday 3–11 PM, Saturday and Sunday 9 AM–5 PM, Monday 3–11 PM, Tuesday 7 AM–3 PM.
