Behavior Interventionist JobID: 3394 Position Type: General Employment/General Employment Date Posted: 7/14/2026 Location: Sartell Middle School Date Available: 26-27 School Year Additional Information: Show/Hide Behavior Interventionist 7.5 hours/day (10:00am - 6:00pm) 180 days/year Sartell Middle School Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Building Principal, the Behavior Interventionist provides alternative, proactive and effectively established behavior interventions for students with significant emotional/behavior, academic and social concerns. Serves as a resource for instructional staff, parents and the school community to effectively support the positive behavior support program system of the school. Additionally, this position will support the building's after school activities as the site supervisor. Essential Functions: Manages and coordinates the behavior resource room and assigned support staff to provide positive behavioral/emotional interventions and support for students. Develops, coordinates and implements all positive interventions for identified students including daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and yearly goals and activities Teaches social skills and affective curriculum within the resource rooms and classroom settings and provides individual behavior therapy to students as required Assists administrators with parent communication as requested and provides parent information and education relating to the positive behavior support program of the school Works with program and district administration in the development and implementation of a robust program of positive and proactive behavior strategies and supports for the school community Serves as a consultant to instructional staff to increase academic success for students with challenging behaviors and to decrease challenging student behavior in classrooms Conducts classroom observations, behavior analysis and interventions with identified students as requested by the program director or instructional staff Serves as a member of the site PBIS team. Attends and participates in education staffings and in the development and implementation of behavior support for students on IEPs as needed. Assists in classrooms to meet individual and group needs as requested by instructional staff Collects, reports and summarizes behavioral data Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in psychology or related field; or AA Degree and equivalent work experience Effective written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Significant, extensive experience working with students in a mental health population Application Materials Required for Consideration: Completed online application Resume and cover letter, free of grammatical and spelling errors Two (2) current letters of recommendation (within the last year) Position open until filled Pay range: $26-$32/ hour, depending on experience.
