Basketball Coach

## Description **Job Title: Basketball Coach** - Running practice and skill sessions - Attending and coaching weekly practices and tournaments - Encouraging continued participation in our basketball program - Actively seeking new participants - Professionally setting up practice and tournament play - Providing smooth customer experiences **Qualifications required:** - CPR/AED certification - First Aid Certification - Ability to work a variety of hours including evenings and weekends - Ongoing Club Fit Training through 1huddle Learning Management System: - - Bloodborne Pathogens (annually) - Emergency Response Protocol (ERP) (bi-annually) - Sexual Harassment (annually) - Cyber Security (annually) - Preventing Child Sex Abuse (annually) **Communication:** - Utilize communications log to convey appropriate information to co-workers and manager (if necessary). - Regularly read communications logbook to keep up with departmental activities/updates. - Keep updated staff phone list and schedule. - Complete training checklist within 3 months of employment. - Attend staff meetings and trainings - Be knowledgeable of other club departments programs and events. **Professional and Technical Knowledge:** - Assists in maintaining discipline and order within the sports program. - Positive attitude toward work, Club Fit, and staff at all times. - Punctual for all scheduled programs or arrange coverage and inform manager and other staff accordingly. - Use Plan Day for recording of hours worked as Sports Activities Assistant. - Wears uniform including club issued shirt and name tag. - Maintains a positive relationship with members, colleagues, manager and other Club Fit staff. - Current and former basketball players encouraged to apply. - All practice and tournaments will be local to Westchester County. - Weekend and evening availability required. **Physical Requirements:** - Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and reach throughout the workday. - Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds. **Reporting Structure**: Direct Line to Sports Director
