We combine a multi-venue contemporary art museum, boutique hotel and a chef driven restaurant to create a unique and welcoming opportunity.** **Come join our Flock!** ## Job Description **Reports To:** Bartender, Beverage Manager, Food & Beverage Director **General Purpose:** The Bar Back supports the bartender with a primary responsibility of restocking glasses, beverages, ice, etc. The Bar Back must always be one step ahead of bartender's needs by keeping bar area clean, well-stocked, and organized and constantly looks for opportunities to learn more about beverages and to help other staff. **Specific Responsibilities:** - Familiar with and knows the location of every item in inventory. - Assists/executes any and all tasks as assigned by bartender. - Stocks bar to par level before and after each shift. - Stocks bar service area. - Communicates with bartenders throughout shift. - Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift. - Maintains a positive, friendly attitude with co-workers & guests. - Maintains a clean, orderly appearance of the restaurant service area. - Assists/executes any and all tasks as assigned by other supervisors. - Follows all proper sanitation guidelines. - Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager. ## Qualifications - Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends). - Can lift heavy items, sometimes overhead. - Responsible, dependable, punctual. - Good communication skills; must be able to speak, read, and understand English. - Clean and professional appearance. - Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c. - Must pass a background check. **Education/Formal Training:** - High school or equivalent education required. **Physical Requirements:** - Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. - Must be able to stand for long periods of time ## Additional Information **21c Museum Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.
