## Description **Position Summary:** Complete final breakdown of function, by cleaning the room, and cleaning and returning equipment to its proper location. Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, locking doors, breaking down goods, etc. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Transport dirty linen to correct area to be cleaned, separate napkins from tablecloths, and restock linen shelves with clean linens. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures. Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests. **** **Core Competencies** · Read and analyze banquet event order in order to gather guest information, determine proper set up, timeline, specific guest needs, buffets, action stations, etc. · Set up banquet area/room, ensuring cleanliness and proper set up. · Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. Inspect storage areas for organization, use of First In First Out (FIFO), and cleanliness and rectify any deficiencies. Communicate with guests and other employees to ensure guest needs are met. · Ensure staff is working together as a team. Direct final breakdown and clean up of function rooms ## Requirements **Physical Requirements** - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. - Ability to stand for extended periods. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Banquet associates will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces), managing the menu (read and visually verify information), and taking a hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping).
