Bailer & Maintenance Helper (6940)

**Work Location:** Weirton, WV **Work Schedule:** Part-time (up to 28 hours/weekly) **This position is responsible for:** # Operates a baler machine to secure, package and bind large volumes of clothing, shoes and accessories. Loads and unloads trucks, lifting heavy objects on a regular basis. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, safety and security of the warehouse area. Assists the Building Maintenance Worker as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operates automatic baler machine that loads and fluffs clothes to secure solid bales of clothing with wire. - Operates forklift to transport bail to storage truck. - Reads meters to verify weights of bales. - Examines metal detector and wrapping mechanism for defects. - Unloads trucks of donated items that are delivered to the warehouse daily. - Recycles and keeps cardboard boxes organized for use with the baler machine. - Stores shoes in storage areas. **Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:** - Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull objects (up to 50 lbs.). - Moderate mobility duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. - Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. **Employee Benefits:** - Paid Time Off - Retirement Savings Plan Available - Supplemental Insurance Available - Voluntary Life Insurance and more! **Education and Experience:** - High school diploma or G.E.D.; and two (2) years of experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading of materials in a warehouse or store setting; OR - any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. **Licenses and Certifications:** - Valid State Driver's License. **Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled**
