Summary In this role, you'll perform advanced avionics installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair while helping ensure aircraft meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations, customer guidelines and company policies. Reviews required customer and FAA paperwork to ensure proper maintenance updates and compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements. Oversees and co-signs for uncertified mechanics in accordance with the GTI RSM procedures. Leads the maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration of, or approve and return to service, any aircraft, or part thereof, only for which that Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date. Facilitates On-the-Job Training (OJT) to provide learning opportunities through work assignment and mentoring. Performs maintenance tasks as required and becomes an active member of the crew. Has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. Properly utilized and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations. Prepare routine reports and correspondence. Fabricate per drawings and standard practices wire bundles and assemblies to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors. Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments Other duties as assigned.
