Automotive Technician II

**JOB OBJECTIVE:** To perform a variety of advanced journey level skilled/technical maintenance and major repair services on diesel and gasoline engines, components, electrical systems, and transmissions of City vehicles and heavy equipment; provides mechanical assistance to other employees; performs diagnostic testing. ***This position is designated as a safety/security sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol screening.***For a complete list of essential job functions please click [HERE.](https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/littlerock/classspecs/765908?keywords=FL31-711-CDL&pagetype=classSpecifications) *These knowledge, skills, and abilities are usually, although not always, acquired through completion of high school or vocational-technical course in automotive mechanics and two (2) years experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance, malfunction diagnosis, and repair.
