Automotive Technician

Automotive Technician AAA Tidewater has an immediate opening for Automotive Technician in our Car Care Center! - **Sign-On Bonus (External Candidates Only):** $1500 for B Technician or $2500 for A Technician **Primary Job Functions**: - Perform minor diagnostics on automobiles as required. - Repair vehicles according to manufacturers’ specifications including, but not limited to, brakes, suspension, exhaust, drive train, cooling system, tires, alignments, air conditioning/heating, ignition system, and fuel system. - Utilize software to obtain parts and labor requirements for repairs. - Communicate with the service writer/manager and manager about repair status and needs. - Perform state safety inspections as needed. - Keep his/her work area clean and safe. - Assist Lead Technician as required and in order to gain experience for future ASE Certifications - Various miscellaneous duties as assigned by management. - Assists other level technicians as requested. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Qualifications**: - High School Diploma or GED required. - State Inspection License required. - Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and the ability to operate passenger vehicles and light and medium-duty trucks with automatic and manual transmissions. - Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. **Safe Business Driving Requirements:** - Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. - Provide proof of automobile liability insurance at time of hire Automotive Technicians successfully meeting goals earn on average $60,700 - $74,100 annually. **Remarkable benefits:** • Health coverage for medical, dental, vision • 401(K) saving plans with company match AND Pension • Tuition assistance • Floating holidays and PTO for community volunteer programs • Paid parental leave • Wellness programs • Employee discounts (membership, insurance, travel, entertainment, services and more!)
