Full-time employees enjoy outstanding benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, stock ownership opportunities, a strong 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off.** **** **If you’re looking for a career where you’re valued, supported, and set up to grow, we’d love to meet you.** **Job Title:** Auto Service Tech - Level 2 **Reports to:** Store Manager (or similar position) **FLSA Status:** Non-exempt **Job Type**: Full-time **** ### **POSITION SUMMARY** The Auto Service Technician 2 is responsible for inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, alignments, oil changes, replacing filters, and fluid exchanges. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Completed vehicle inspection every time and communicates to the front counter the items that may need to be repaired. - Consistently Inspect and recommend needed repairs and/or services using the vehicles inspection report. - Proper completion of Vehicle Inspection Report - Able to perform the following according to manufactures specifications: - Vehicle alignments according to manufacturer’s specifications - Performs vehicle Flushes. - Able to repair and replace Brakes. - Oil Changes / Air Filters - Changing, repairing, and replacing tires ensures proper torquing on all jobs. - Recommend products and services when needed. - Able to quote repairs. - Support and track purchasing and returns. - Supports company safety and operational standards and adheres to all audit requirements. - Completes all necessary training and maintains certifications (or equivalent i.e., Ford). - ASE Training A4 – Steering and Suspension – within 1 year of being in this position. - 609 AC certification is required for air conditioning service repair. - Completes jobs in a timely manner and communicates when there are items that will take longer. - Assist with phones, front counter, etc. - Other duties as assigned. **COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS** - Customer Service - Mechanical Skills - Ability to work independently and within a team ## **QUALIFICATIONS** – **Required.** - Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record - Minimum age requirement: 18 years - 1-2 years of experience - ASE A5 – Brakes or ASE G1. - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) **COMPENSATION & BENEFITS** - Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, ESOP and retirement plans. - Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays **** **ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FUNCTIONS** ***Physical Demands:*** - Standing: 80% | Walking: 70% | Sitting: 5% - Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces - Frequent lifting/carrying: up to 50 lbs - Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping and dexterity - Constant visual, auditory, and verbal communication required **** ***Work Environment:*** - Frequent exposure to noise, dirt, dust, mechanical vibration, fumes, and outdoor conditions - Occasional work in extreme heat/cold or wet/humid environments - Occasional hazards due to mechanical equipment and moving objects ***Equipment Operated:*** - Computer and Keyboard - Tire machines, compressors, air tools and hand tools - Company-provided software and system for work orders and inventory - Required to use protective gear (PPE) **** **Compliance & Acknowledgment -** This position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
