The Athletics Event Operations Coordinator will assist in the day-to-day operations of athletic events unit as well as the event operations for assigned sports and outside events. - Assist with execution of game day management plans to ensure a positive game day experience for all student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. - Provides excellent customer service to athletic department coaches and staff, campus departments and organizations, and external organizations to encourage continual and regular use of all athletics facilities. - Assist with budget preparation for the unit. - Coordinate with other departments as necessary to prepare facilities for the various events. - Position requires working evenings, and weekends, as well as other related duties as assigned by supervisors. - Other duties as assigned. - Bachelor’s degree with previous experience working in an athletics related field or a Master’s degree may substitute for experience. - Working Knowledge of NCAA and Southern Conference rules and regulations with a personal commitment to operate within those rules is required. - Position requires working nights and weekends and on occasion holidays. - Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. - Possess a current, valid driver's license. - Previous experience working within an intercollegiate athletic program in the areas of facilities or operations, preferred.
