Cadia is dedicated to providing the best care possible and that’s where you come in! **Duties and Responsibilities** - Assist DON in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating day-to-day functions of the nursing department, including therapy, in accordance with state & federal regulations. - Ensure regulatory compliance by participating in or conducting mock surveys, patient interviews & randomly assessing medical administration records. - Reviews 24-hour report from every unit daily to monitor & ensure timely, effective responses to significant changes in resident conditions, transfers, discharges, unexplained injuries, falls, behavioral episodes, medication errors, etc. - Collaborates with physicians, consultants, community agencies & institutions to improve quality of services & to resolve identified problems. - Coordinates/oversees Restorative Program & restorative staff, as needed. - Conducts compliance & nursing rounds on all units as needed several times a day, including the beginning & end of each shift, speaking with residents/family and/or staff as needed. - Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state or compact state. - Must have 2 years’ experience as an RN, with 2 years management experience preferred. - Knowledge of long-term care regulations preferred.
