This position is a Monday thru Friday schedule, in our Spanish Fork, UT location. The focus is on developing your technical knowledge and skills to solve more complex problems. Become familiar with all basic microbiological testing including but not limited to media making, Total Plate Count, Enterobacteriaceae, Yeast and Mold using Petrifilm and Petriplate methods: also presence/absence of E coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, and Pseudomonas testing. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - If appropriate, uses laboratory equipment and instruments with minimal supervision - Perform calibrations, and maintain calibration records - Able to keep detailed and complete records - Able to think analytically - Have a good sense of timeliness and cleanliness - Proficient in Excel, MS Office - Ability to be flexible - Ability to work as a team member - Keep labs clean and organized **QUALIFICATIONS** - BS in a scientific area, preferably microbiology/biology - Knowledge of microbiology and chemistry - Knowledge of testing of natural products and ingredients - Knowledge of GMP and GLP requirements - Experience in environmental testing and allergen testing - Capable of using laboratory equipment and documentation systems. - Ability to write reports and communicate results - Ability to work as a team member
