## Description The Mid-Hudson Family Medicine Residency Program seeks an Associate Program Director (APD) to assist in leading a well-established 10-10-10 program located in the beautiful Mid-Hudson Valley. The APD supports the Program Director in the leadership, administration, and continuous improvement of an ACGME-accredited program based in a community health center setting and that has strong ties to local organizations and populations. The APD plays a critical role in resident education, faculty development, curriculum design, program evaluation, recruitment, and accreditation compliance. This position combines clinical practice, teaching, mentorship, and academic scholarship with administrative leadership. **Key Responsibilities:** **Program Leadership and Administration** - Assist the Program Director in the overall leadership and strategic direction of the residency program - Participate in program planning, innovation, and continuous quality improvement - Represent the residency program at departmental, institutional, and GME meetings **Accreditation and Compliance** - Support compliance with ACGME Common and Family Medicine Program Requirements - Assist with preparation and submission of ACGME milestones, ADS updates, annual program evaluations, and self-studies - Participate in Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) and Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) activities - Help ensure appropriate documentation, policies, and procedures are maintained **Resident Education and Curriculum** - Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the residency curriculum - Teach and facilitate didactic sessions and workshops - Supervise residents in clinical settings, modeling evidence-based and patient-centered care - Ensure integration of core family medicine competencies, population health, quality improvement, and health equity principles **Resident Assessment, Advising, and Mentorship** - Serve as a faculty advisor and mentor to assigned residents - Assist with resident evaluation, feedback, remediation, and promotion decisions - Support resident wellness, professional development, and career planning - Participate in recruitment, selection, onboarding, and orientation of residents **Faculty Development and Scholarship** - Support faculty development efforts related to teaching, assessment, and mentorship - Engage in scholarly activity consistent with ACGME and institutional expectations - Provide support for resident and faculty scholarly projects, QI initiatives, and presentations **Clinical Responsibilities** - Maintain an active clinical practice in Family Medicine of four sessions per week - Provide high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with Institute standards - Serve as a role model for residents in clinical excellence and professionalism ## Requirements **KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES** - Leadership and program management - Superior Clinical Skills - Effective interpersonal, communication, organizational, and conflict management skills **EDUCATION** - Graduate of an accredited medical school and family medicine residency program - Board certification in Family Medicine **WORK EXPERIENCE** - Minimum of 3-5 years as a family medicine faculty member with progressive responsibility in supervision and management preferred - Demonstrated scholarly activity with appropriate publications and regional or national presentations preferred
