Candidates with demonstrated skills that cross these disciplines will be strongly preferred. Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant field (see departmental research areas below) and should have experience commensurate with appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. A DVM, MD, or comparable degree is desirable, but not required. A record of extramural funding is also desirable and will be taken into consideration at the time of appointment for determining rank. Candidates with significant federal funding and a national reputation for research excellence will also be considered for the **Sitlington Endowed Chair**. Responsibilities of the position will encompass the traditional responsibilities of a land grant university, including research (80%), teaching to veterinary medical and graduate students (10%), and service on departmental and college committees (10%). This is a research intensive position that comes with significant independent research space and a competitive start-up package. The Department of Physiological Sciences encompasses the disciplines of physiology, anatomical sciences, pharmacology, and toxicology.
