It is our mission to support the university’s global endeavors and international initiatives. This position will be a part of the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) team. The ISSS Office at the University of North Texas provides compassionate immigration advice and support to UNT’s 12,000 international students and scholars, and alumni. | | **Position Overview** This role will be responsible for issuing I20 immigration documents and advising F1 international students on immigration topics such as full time enrollment, work authorization, and general maintenance of immigration status. This position will report to the Assistant Director of International Student Services and work closely with our F1 student service team. | | **Minimum Qualifications** Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must be eligible to serve as a Designated School Official under U.S. Department of Homeland Security requirements. | | **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** Understanding of the immigration regulation(s) associated with assigned area. Must meet federal requirements to serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) and/or Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO). Experience with SEVIS and a vendor software. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of business practices and procedures, ability to organize, detail oriented; capacity to multitask; good time management skills. Ability to work well under stress.
