Visit our website at http://www.axnygroup.com Job Title: Associate Designer – Cold Weather & Fashion Accessories Location: 5 days onsite at our NYC HQ Summary: American Exchange Group is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Associate Designer to join our growing Cold Weather & Fashion Accessories team. This newly created position will work on existing business as well as new licenses coming on board. You’ll report to the President, Handbags & Fashion Accessories and work closely with Production, Packaging, and Merchandising to support the design and development of innovative cold weather and fashion accessories. Key Responsibilities - Create seasonal mood and trend boards - Develop accurate artwork, repeats, and specs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign - Prepare design files for sampling and production - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product execution matches design intent - Support product revisions, costing updates, and presentation materials - Stay on top of timelines, trends, and technical innovations in textiles - Contribute ideas and assist wherever needed throughout the design process Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accessories Design, Fashion Design, or related field - 2+ years of design experience in fashion/apparel or accessories - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign - Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities - Detail-driven with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow What We Offer - Comprehensive Health & Wellness Benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance - 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with company match - Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays - Half Day Fridays with shortened hours during both Summer and Winter seasons - Health Savings Account (HSA) - Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Tax-free commuter benefits - Exclusive employee merchandise discounts Salary: The anticipated base salary is $75k - $85k annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
