Associate Attorney

Clausen Miller P.C. is a nationally recognized insurance defense firm with decades of experience representing major insurers and self-insured clients across complex litigation matters. We're growing our New York litigation team and looking for a motivated Associate Attorney to work closely with a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload spanning casualty defense, premises liability, and environmental liability. This is a hands-on role from day one — you'll be taking depositions, making court appearances, and building your litigation skills within a collaborative, well-resourced team. **What You'll Do** - Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses - Conduct and defend depositions - Manage discovery, including interrogatories and document review - Perform legal research and case analysis - Appear in New York courts as needed **What We're Looking For** - 3–5 years of litigation experience in casualty defense, premises liability, or environmental liability - Active New York bar admission required; New Jersey bar admission a plus - Strong written and oral advocacy skills - Detail-oriented self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment **Compensation & Benefits** - Salary: $110,000–$125,000, commensurate with experience - Comprehensive health insurance - 401(k) - Life insurance - CLE reimbursement and bar registration fees covered - Hybrid schedule (in-office and remote flexibility)
