Assistant Warehouse Manager I - FT - N Charleston

Ensures that a positive example is set for all team members. · Recognizes when team members need coaching and provides immediate coaching when applicable. · Trains warehouse team members in all aspects of floor operations to include baling, loading/unloading transport vehicles and power industrial equipment operation. Ensures that a positive example is set for all team members. · Demonstrates a mastery in production and customer service management through evaluation. · Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to a member of store management, appropriate District Manager, and/or Asset Protection department. · Complies with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout all work areas; maintains same to meet CARF, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards. · Leads warehouse team and activities in the absence of/and at the direction of the Warehouse Manager; see Supervisory Responsibilities below. · Performs all administrative and clerical duties including but not limited to completing opening/closing duties, internal and external communications, and securing the building at the direction of the Warehouse Manager in accordance with established guidelines. · Ensures compliance with established safety, security, and record keeping procedures and practices. · Assist Warehouse Manager with coordination of salvage pickups. · Assist in floor optimization for space based on product flow to ensure efficient production. · Obtain and maintain Medical DOT certification for back up needs on box trucks. · Assists Truck Drivers and other agency personnel in performance of their duties. · Must be able to work flexible hours, available to open and/or close assigned retail location as required, make bank deposits, and secure building to ensure success of the operation. · Must be able to respond to emergencies at any time as needed. · Performs other job-related duties as assigned. | | --- | - Perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - The requirements listed here are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability - Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check. - Must be able to obtain and maintain Forklift/Stacker and CPR/First Aid certifications.
