KCHA has an exceptional opportunity for a deeply skilled professional to join the leadership team in the Property Management Department as Assistant Vice President of Property Management - Administration. The AVP of Property Management - Administration (AVP) assists the Senior Vice President of Property Management (SVP) in providing the administrative oversight for the Property Management Department, which is responsible for KCHA’s owned and managed federally subsidized housing programs. The AVP's primary responsibilities include supervision, development and guidance of the Regional Managers, establishing and applying consistent operating procedures, and maintaining high customer service standards across all portfolios. Additionally, the AVP will collaborate heavily with the AVP of Property Management - Maintenance in creating standards and expectations related to effective management of site-based maintenance crews. To learn more about[KCHA and our Mission visit this link](https://www.kcha.org/)[.](https://www.kcha.org/) *We transform lives through housing.* **Please note this position is open until filled; however, to ensure consideration applications should be received by July 31, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.** The AVP of Property Management Administration: - Ensures customer service standards, operating procedures and performance targets are established and implemented with consistency across all of KCHA’s owned and managed, federally-funded housing communities. - Supervises KCHA’s Regional Managers, providing mentorship, coaching and guidance so that all people-managers can build strong teams and lead inclusively. - Cultivates strong management and leadership development practices across the department’s administrative staff and site-based maintenance teams, in collaboration with KCHA's Assistant Vice President of Property Management Maintenance. - Collaborates strongly with KCHA’s Assistant Vice President of Property Management Maintenance to administer uniform operating standards and strong supervision of site-based maintenance crews by property managers. - Updates operating procedures and establishes communication standards between KCHA’s Resident Services and Property Management Departments in ways that optimizes housing stability, economic advancement and greater quality of life for residents. - Supports the development of portfolio budgets and provides ongoing fiscal oversight to portfolio teams. - Responsible for supporting effective learning, development and succession planning across the Property Management Administrative teams through effective collaboration with HR and other supporting units. - Collaborates with KCHA’s counsel to create consistent, effective practices around lease enforcement in ways that leverage KCHA’s Resident Services Department to promote housing stability and resident success while upholding Fair Housing laws. - In concert with the AVP of Property Management Maintenance, and the Vice President of Resident Services, optimizes the use of KCHA’s shared community spaces and portfolio office environments. - Effectively interfaces with technical support personnel to ensure ongoing administrative optimization of KCHA’s newly implemented Housing Management software system of record. - Serves as a departmental ombudsman; troubleshoots resident complaints and ensures consistency in responses to legislators, HUD and other officials. - Supports the Compliance Department in all aspects of file audit and regulatory compliance. - Collaborates with the Organization’s Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging to ensure cultural differences and/or disparities in language, communication, and learning styles do not create mental or physical barriers throughout project life cycles. **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's Degree **AND** - Cons…
