This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working with children at different developmental stages. What You’ll Do - Support Lead Teachers in creating **safe, nurturing, and engaging classrooms** for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. - Assist with daily routines such as **meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, nap time, and play activities**. - Engage children in **play-based learning**, sensory activities, music, and early language development. - Help maintain clean, organized classrooms that meet **Michigan childcare licensing standards**. - Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. - Step into different classrooms as needed to support staffing and daily operations. Qualifications - **High school diploma or GED required**. - Previous experience in a **daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred**. - CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus, but not required. - Understanding of **developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)**. - CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). - Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented.
