**Assistant Retail Store Manager** **LOCATION: Emory Square** **EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time/Non-Exempt/Regular** **HOURLY WAGE $12.00** **Goodwill Industries--Knoxville, Inc. is seeking full-time Assistant Retail Store Manager Ideal candidates will be energetic, flexible, have excellent customer service skills, reliable transportation and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.** **Summary:** Responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail facility. Supervises staff and community service workers, etc. in the absence of the Store Manager. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Support daily store operations and team leadership (6 months – 1 year experience) • Deliver outstanding customer service • Help drive sales, merchandising, and donation processing • Train, motivate, and inspire team members • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment • Assist with achieving store goals and performance standards **Competencies:** To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: • Retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred • Strong communication and organizational skills • Positive attitude with a passion for helping others • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment **Interpersonal Skills** - Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming; Listens to others without interrupting; Keeps emotions under control; Remains open to others' ideas and tries new things. **Oral Communication** - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions. - **Attendance/Punctuality** - Is consistently punctual and at work on time. - **Ethics** - Treats people with respect; keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others; works with integrity and ethics; upholds organizational values. - **Organizational Support** - Follows policies and procedures; Supports the organization's goals and values. - **Mathematical Skills:** Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. **Physical Demands:** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
